The Northeast Senator, Rudolph Boulos, on Wednesday, pretended to be ready to collaborate with justice around the assassination of Radio Haiti Inter CEO, Jean Léopold Dominique, but through his attorney.

Mr. Dominique was assassinated on April 3, 2000, but ever since, the open investigation on the file is dragging on. The judge in charge of the file has been attempting in vain to question Mr. Boulos since the same year. Elected senator in 2006, nowadays he contends that he is part of a group that already wrote to the investigating magistrate in charge of the file to explain that the senator is ready to collaborate, but within established norms.

Roudolph Boulos took this opportunity to make it known that he possesses no information on the assassination of Jean Dominique. "My attorney is currently in contact with the judge, in order to clarify certain points as much as possible", indicated Mr. Boulos, adding that on the day of the assassination of the CEO of radio Haiti Inter, he was in the North area of the country, taking care of matters impacting the population of this region.

As for the general secretary of SOS/JOURNALISTS, Joseph Guyler C. Delva, also president of the commission in charge of investigations related to the assassinations of journalists, he declared that the judge has no question to address to the attorneys of Senator Boulos, but to the latter himself.

According to Mr. Delva, conflicts often flared between Rudolph Boulos and Jean Dominique who was at the forefront of the struggle which was, he said, to bring compensation for the relatives of dozens of children who died as a result of consuming medicines contaminated with glycol-di-ethylen, manufactured by Pharval Laboratories.

It is quite normal that Senator Boulos would be questioned on the assassination of Jean Dominique, Mr. Delva declared, reminding us that no one is above the law. According to him, the parliamentary immunity should not be an element guaranteeing impunity.
